We are actively seeking more imagery acres to fill up requirements for flying more counties in Iowa but with spring around the corner that should improve. We also have more capacity for grid sampling with added staff in western Iowa so we welcome any new leads and added acres. We can cover a large number of acres in a short period of time! Our team is also capable of helping out any coops in the state with any late season nitrate sampling, scouting, grid sampling, tissue sampling, or any other special project you may need help with, so give us a try. Have a safe and profitable growing season! Dodge City Laboratory Installation of both HPLC and GC instrumentation in Dodge City will soon be complete. High-performance liquid chromatography, or HPLC, will be used for measuring the concentrations of specific sugars in feedstuffs. Gas chromatography, or GC, will be used for measuring the concentrations of methanol and glycerol in a glycerol by-product. Chromatography refers a highly- developed and complex area of analytical chemistry whereby specific compounds in a sample are separated, identified, and quantified Our laboratories have used a similar technique known as ion chromatography, or IC, to quantify anions in water samples for many years. However, the use of HPLC and GC will expand our capabilities in feed testing.
