Our Schools _________________     “ PETRU PONI” TECHNICAL HIGHSCHOOL A MODERN SCHOOL FOR QUALITY EDUCATION 134 YEARS OF EDUCATION IN ROMAN  HISTORY The school was founded on private initiative in March 1880 and it was recognized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and of Public Instruction by Decreed No.9743/3.09.1880 as a Mixed School for Arts and Crafts. In 1920, Roman Townhall provides the terrain in order to build the private building and on July 22 1920, the construction of the present building begins on Bulevardul Republicii No.1, and in 1922 the school opens. The Education Reform Act of 1948 transforms the Industrial Highschool for Boys from Roman in Metallurgical Technical Metallurgical Secondary School for Boys in Roman.
