Among the frequent fishing
trips of the spent season, a
particular attention is surely
deserved by our September
outing in the Cadore region
of Veneto. Not a long holiday however, just a couple
of days, but enough to discover a reserve in very
characteristic surroundings.
The river we have fished is
the Piave, and namely the
no-kill stretch of Santo
Stefano di Cadore in the
fishing dock no.1 Comelico –
Sappada, which allows a
maximum of six fishermen
for each half day, either
morning or
afternoon.
The logistic base of our
excursion is Villa Marinotti in
Tai di Cadore, a bed and
breakfast luxuriously
managed by our friend
Angelo Piller, always helpful
and willing to give us his
valuable advice in order to
solve any difficulty for those
who, like us, are unfamiliar
with those places.
