Tickets are on sale now for Charbonneau Country Club's Blast From the Past event to be held on Saturday, August 27. There will be a car show at 5 pm, dinner at 6 pm and a live band at 7 pm. This event will celebrate the 50s and 60s eras. Tickets are for Charbonneau residents only and are $5 per person - including a catered dinner. For details, stop by the CCC Office. You won't want to miss it. Cars on display are owned by Charbonneau residents. See one couple's story on page 14. Pahlish Community Meeting Slated CharbonneauHawaiian Style Aloha Charbonneau - Join your friends and family at the Charbonneau Country Club (CCC) Clubhouse from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, August 23, for Community Information Day and Newcomer's Welcome! This event provides residents with information from a host of community service providers, volunteer organizations and social group activities, all under one roof. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, learn about the Golf Club, Tennis Club, Fitness Center or exer- cise classes (i.e., Zumba, Aerobics). If you like to play cards and games, visit with those who play Bridge or Mah Jongg. If you have a creative flair, visit the various art booths. If you are working on disaster preparedness, you may purchase a survival kit backpack. Prizes will be given away, and there is no cost to join the fun. Mahalo Charbonneau! A Community Meeting with Pahlisch Homes is scheduled for Monday, August 29 at 4 pm in the Charbonneau Country Club Dining Room. Charobnneau Golf Club, Inc. members will give a very brief overview of why they chose to sell the range, and Pahlisch will review what they propose to build, the timing and the construction schedule. Festival of Dogs Set for September 17 The Charbonneau Clubhouse will come alive on September 17 as local dogs descend on the popular Festival of Dogs. Last year, Marley and Gail Wilson (above) joined the fun. Marley is owned by Tony and Gail Wilson, and Sally and Marty Paulson are her aunt and uncle. For details on this year's event, see page 26.
