A Message from the Executive
Tuesday, October 30th, the Albuquerque Ministerial Alliance called for solidarity in a “Souls to the Polls”
campaign, a national initiative that assists pastors in expressing the importance of the Black vote.
The campaign works to encourage congregants to exercise their right to vote. The ministers were joined
by Representative Sheryl Williams Stapleton, OAAA staff, and members of the community.
If you have not already voted, make sure to exercise your right and vote your conscience regarding
the issues that Blacks face in New Mexico which include poverty, unemployment, low home ownership,
access to quality preventative health care, early childhood education, recidivism, over representation of
incarceration, K-12 and higher education, etc.…
