very hard on the body. I want to make
sure that the therapists here are taking
care of their body and taking breaks when
they need them to ensure they are not
overusing their body.” Massage therapists
are also taught good body mechanics in
school to avoid repetitive stress injuries.
A half hour between clients is scheduled
so that the therapists can do paperwork,
have prep time before the next client,
and also have time to talk to their client
before and after the session.
Heidi said she is motivated to alleviate
pain for her clients. “Most people don’t
know how good massage or cupping can
be. We can correct things that have been
bothering them for a long time. I want to
reach out and educate people about the
benefits of massage.”
