“It was a positive environment to celebrate our
peers’ achievements and get encouragement that
can have a lifetime impact,” said Yetunde Okunade,
who attended all of the weekend’s events.
Day two opened with the “MADE Impact List
Awards.” Power 92’s AJ Linton honored six
awardees — Stephanie Coleman, Will Grandberry,
Priya Shah, Hustle Simmons, Marcus Noel and
Katrina Jackson — over brunch at The Godfrey
Hotel.
“No matter what people said, I knew it was in my
heart and, if I stayed true to it, it would take me far,”
said Jackson, painter and tattoo artist with Black
Ink Crew Chicago. “I turned my hustle into a career.”
The weekend closed with a day party on the
Godfrey’s rooftop. The 60-degree weather paired
