MAD pages Volume 1 Issue 2 | Page 46

ith the mixed result of previous issue things are once again started. The goodest* thing of the magazine industry is that you will always be aspired to do something new and it develops your creativity. There were few backdrops in the previous issue and our main agenda is to correct them. I asked Nikhil (COO, MAD pages), ‘what should be the cover story for next issue?’ and he said ‘don’t know’ and all of sudden he popped ‘teachers day is coming’ and then it is final that we are working on teachers day as a cover story for the this issue. We haven’t talked to many writers this time. Just few best buddies, a new girl, a dongle, a computer and we have started working. I personally worked on the cover story which is based on teacher and believe me I’m the one who hate teacher a lot because they always pushed my bright ideas to dark ends although they are not that much bright but it doesn’t deserve that dark corner too. And so I’ve distributed the good part of cover story to Sana (writer) and I’ve taken the best part for me the evil talks about teachers. While concluding the cover story I felt that it is more of a complaining article rather than a solution article and in order to make it a worthful article I assigned Agnivesh (writer) to conclude the article with the solution part and hence the cover story is finished. I named it T-Day inspired from the recent movie D-Day. I’ve heard from mouths that my personal column taar is liked by readers and so the responsibility to present a good connection of W hope is a must. I’ve started taar themed on teachers only and when I’ve completed more than 75% of article I got attention to the Mumbaiu rape case and I felt it is more important than those of teacher. And I worked on that and created an article, while working on that subject I’ve faced emotions of shame, anger and it feels like that everything is a waste. For a moment I’m getting a feeling of disinterest from my life from the thought of the injustice in our country. But my team supported me and realized me that we are here for making a difference and so the swords of pens are raised high and we started scratching the pages and filling the wounds with blood of ink and we framed the story of pain. In the juggle of emails from several inboxes, chats at whatsapp & facebook the MAD pages got its content and I finally designed a layout as per the requirement of article and my personal understanding. But to make things sure I personally verify the article from the writers of respective articles. And when they said OK then it is an okay from my side too. Few talks with photographer from the internet and our own photographer and the pictures and images for our articles were captured and downloaded. And just four day before the fixed date of release, we have completed the magazine with the hope that youth will change the fate of this country and will support us in making a difference. 46
