See you at GROWS! Trumbull Barrett, MCA is the MAA’s representative to the New England GROWS board of directors. He shares his thoughts about the importance of attending. I look forward to New England GROWS every year because it gives me a chance to step back from the rigors of daily business, catch up with old friends, recharge my batteries, and start planning ahead. This year’s educa- tional lineup is impressive and features experts who will shed light on the latest thinking in modern arboricul- ture. Personally, I’m looking forward to learning about new research, trends and predictions from John Ball, Kim Coder, Chris Luley, and more. I’ve heard great things about consultant Marty Grunder, who’s running a business-building seminar on Thursday at GROWS. What I like most is that Marty runs his own, very successful operation in Ohio. From marketing to estimating and sales to employee recruitment, he’s got practical advice that you can put to work right away. The return of the big tree to the Skills and Safety Arena on the trade show floor should be a huge hit. We’re grateful to Ed Carpenter and his team of top-notch instructors at North American Training Solutions for bringing their expertise to this feature at GROWS. As always, count on the trade show to be filled with leading manufacturers and suppliers. It’s a great place to compare products, negotiate deals, provide input, and ask questions. The companies that exhibit at GROWS are demonstrating strong support for our local industry, as well as our association. Please be sure to thank them for their involvement and give them your business. GROWS is going to be great and I look forward to seeing you there! Grow your business.Grow your career.
