‘‘I chose to name this collection of design ‘My Day Off’. Which reveals the re-
bellious feeling that could often be discovered among the youth. To echo their
desire to distinguish themselves from other groups of people, the collection
will be an attempt to grasp the teen spirit that has its own subcultural aes-
thetics. For instance, the overall design for this series is inspired by the West-
ern street culture, which could be dated back to the 1980s and 1990s. Over-
sized contour and loose cutting that weaken the curve of the human body, as
well as the awareness of gender, are adopted.
