Ming-Yang Ma (1989, Taiwan)
The project remarks the importance of culture and cultural clothing. The de-
signer researches his culture through the calligraphy in traditional Chinese.
One film, The Grandmaster (2015), is one of the main resources understanding
the importance of translation to appreciate how beautiful is his culture.
Based on the quotes “mankind doesn’t quit the way they came from” and “ti-
gers never leave from the mountains they live” the designer finds the inspira-
tion to produce this collection.
