The 31st edition of the nation’s finest and largest literary gathering, the Miami Book Fair International, presented by The Center for Literature and Theatre at Miami Dade College (MDC), is
held Nov. 16 - 23 at MDC’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami.
The Fair continues raising the bar of excellence by offering an
unparalleled roster of writers from the U.S. and abroad, including Amy Tan, Dan Brown, David Leavitt, Ann Hood, Salman Rushdie, Junot Diaz, Isabel Allende, Nikki Giovanni, Tom Wolfe, Joan
Didion, Richard Blanco, and Lemony Snicket, to name a few.
The always-popular Street Fair, taking place Friday through
Sunday, Nov. 21 – 23, features more than 200 exhibitors from
around the country selling books. The Street Fair also features
dozens of author presentations, a special section designed just
for children, live music, dance and theater performances, food
for sale, and more.
In addition, each year the Fair celebrates the culture and literature of a different country. In 2013 it was Spain, showcasing
the works of its most illustrious writers and artists. This year’s
featured country has not been announced yet.
