Grace Bay Resorts HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE YOUR STAFF SO THAT THEY ARE INVESTED IN SUPERLATIVE SERVICE? We seek to create pride in the workplace and this is achieved through many initiatives. Our company strives to be seen as a leader in the market as helping others, whether through volunteer efforts or specifically our own staff. One example would be the initiative we launched immediately following Hurricane Irma. Our company put in place a safety net for staff to enable those employees who lost homes or were badly affected to get back on their feet. This included a rebuilding team of construction experts who systematically repaired and rebuilt homes for staff. It also included financial grants to allow staff to find new homes or ensure their families had needed supplies to live while homes were being repaired. Nearly three-quarters of a million dollars have been spent on this initiative and its impact has been immense in the building of pride in the workplace. The effect of this on the subconscious of our team is felt in service to our guests. If your staff is happy and feels protected, they work better and smile bigger. The guest gets the benefit. ILHA 85
