Happy New Year hoteliers!
The ILHA team and I hope that you
had a wonderful festive season and
are recharged for a successful 2018.
We closed the end of last year
with the International Luxury
Hotel Association’s INSPIRE’17
Summit, which took place at the
Four Seasons Hotel in Miami. We
were thrilled at the turn-out and
met a fantastic group of passionate
hospitality professionals over the
two days. There was some serious
networking, a dynamic agenda
with experts like Tom McAlpin,
CEO & President, Virgin Voyages,
Ellis O’Connor, President & Asset
Manager, MSD Hospitality, and Tom
Marchant, Co-Founder & CEO, The
Black Tomato Group as well as a
lot of fun with cocktails around the
pool, a gourmet tacos bar and live
Jazz band.
The Tesla pre-party on Sunday
evening was a highlight event with
vehicle showcase and drinks by
The Cocktail Guru and attendees
received swag bags by ESPEROS
and Vilebrequin valued at over
$300.
Our Luxury Service Training
Programs are proving to be
popular with hotels, consisting
of four comprehensive courses
totaling over 50 lessons designed
to educate teams on how
to take luxury service to the
highest possible standard. The
courses cover Food & Beverage,
Housekeeping, Front-of-House
and, Benchmarks, and are
available free to hotels with ILHA
