The Women ’ s Movement is very strong in this day in age . How do you feel we can make it better ? I get so much joy in seeing the sisterhood and comradery that has come from the women ’ s movement ! It is the light in the dark times we are experiencing . I think we can all continue to make it better by loving and healing ourselves and loving those around us . We , as women , have so much love to give ; it is such a beautiful thing so let ’ s keep the momentum going . Let ’ s guide those who come after us and uplift those who came before us !
What was your most successful / happiest moment as a blogger ? My most successful moment as a blogger was gaining friends that have turned into lifelong friendships . Also the events where I got to network with strong women , who are so inspiring and who push me to be better !
What would you say or what type of advice would you give to an aspiring blogger ? Be true to yourself because your readers will know ! Do it , don ’ t think too much about it , everything will fall into place , and you will learn as you grow . Go to meet-ups and find a blogger friend you can talk ideas with . No matter how many followers you have , find the courage to reach out to brands you are interested in working with .
What is your take on women embracing their bodies ? I AM HERE FOR IT ! I love seeing women embracing their bodies and standing in their truth regardless of how others feel or if they get offended . I love that the beauty and fashion industries are showing more models of different sizes and ethnicities . And naturally , I can ’ t help supporting brands where women look like me !
What is next for the Style Statement ? Ahh ! What ’ s next ? It has been an amazing year and after seeing what I have accomplished , my goal is to be more consistent , bring more content to my readers , and work with brands that I love . I am currently in the process of refreshing my site , actually . I started pursuing my career as a fashion stylist in March after quitting my corporate job and built a portfolio , so I will be adding that to the site as well , and the plan is to blog and style full time . Correction , I will be blogging and styling full time ! I am claiming it .
