YOUR BEST BROWS EVER!
Perfectly groomed brows are the new normal in any beauty
routine. If you’re struggling to catch on to the trend, this should
make it as easy as 1-2-3!
Step 1
If you’ve never shaped your brows
before and are not If sure where to
begin, consult a professional first.
Have her clean up stray hairs and
determine the most flattering brow
shape for your eyes and face.
Step 2
Use a fine brow pencil like Diorshow Brow Styler ($30) or
a flat, angled brush and brow gel like Morphe Angled
Brow ($5) and MAC Fluidline Brow Gel ($18.50) to outline
your brows and define the shape from center to tail.
Fill in with a brow powder that matches our compliments
your hair color like Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder
Duo ($23). For added definition, use highlighter slightly
above and below where you’ve outlined to “carve out”
your brows and really accent their shape. I like Damone
Roberts Brow Highlight in Pink-a-boo ($20).
Step 3
Set your perfectly shaped eyebrows
with a clear brow gel so they’ll stay in
place. If your brows are sparse
choose one that also has fibers to
give the illusion of more hair like
Laura Mercier Brow Dimension ($24).
Giving you brows that extra attention
can also give you a more youthful
look. It may take a couple of tries to perfect your tech-
nique, but keep at it and you’ll be a pro in no time!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DAY 2: COUTURE FASHION WEEK
A designer creates a new avenue for a person to strut down. With the pieces of fabric
and authentic touch, a designer is the creator of identities. How one is defined is majorly
influenced by the fabrics that cover them. For many cultures, our relationship with cloth-
ing is meaningful and often influenced by our ethnic backgrounds. The exquisite designs
showcased at today’s Couture Fashion Week makes the previous statement applicable.
Culture fashion is evolutionarily couture.
Couture Fashion Week was held in the Broadway Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Times
Square Manhattan. The showcase presented three designers: Lourdes Atencion,
Sushma Patel, & Do Trinh Hoai Nam. The culturally-influenced collections displayed
dream garments from across the world. The intricate stitch designs of each designer
was impeccable. I truly enjoyed the culture being shared.
Designer Sushma Patel presented a line
during February Spring Fashion Week. Her
collection exhibited an array of pastel and
nude color schemes. In relation to her
spring collection, the designer showcases
a consistent pastel and nude color scheme
with gold stitch detailing. The artist surely
has an eye for elegance.
Couture Fashion Week has definitely created a platform for the books. The
Luxe Kurves family looks forward to covering this event for the years to come.
