However, the one term that’s not noted, but ever-present, is “powerhouse.” Comprised of celebrity chef Velvet Jacobs, her wife--Treona, and sorority sister and longtime friend Mikel Brabham, this ceiling shattering trio is blazing trails in the plus-size industry and showing no mercy!
Exploding on the scene less than a year ago, 3P was birthed during a period when other talent management companies weren’t enthusiastic about representing plus-sized clients. “Everywhere I turned, I saw the same faces and bodies. I didn’t see anybody who looked like me and I certainly didn’t find a management agency with a roster full of me’s. So I created one,” says Treona. “It just got to the point that I was tired of plus men and women being managed as if being plus was a handicap. We [plus men and women] can be as successful as our counterparts and 3P is here to make sure you do.”
