Plaid and Olive Tones.

I never used to include olive tone garments in my wardrobe, until my life changed and I gave it a try. Over the past couple years, I’ve come to love it as a neutral color that I wear the entire season of fall. Olive can so easily be paired with blacks, browns or nudes, and makes a great addition to fall fashion. In my opinion our minds are influenced to think a certain way when it comes to what colors curvier women should wear, but plus size figures can totally wear (and slay) every color too! My biggest advice when it comes to fashion is simple: try it on. Try new cuts, new colors, new textures and fabrics, new brands; have fun with it. I promise you will find your new favorite styles outside your comfort zone. Know going in that there will be plenty of things you return to the rack, and that’s okay. Nothing is for everybody, but don’t be afraid to take risks and learn what is and isn’t for you.

Textures and Floppy Hats.

Hats are something I definitely shied away from in the past. Either because my head was too big and I couldn’t quite find a good fit, or I just wasn’t accustomed to seeing myself in them so I gave up on finding one that worked for me. Thankfully, almost all plus size stores now carry roomier hats that provide a comfortable fit. Button down skirts are another one of my favorites this fall, I particularly love this corduroy a-line mini skirt. I know when it gets cold I will add a pair of tights or leggings to stay warm and it will be the perfect cold weather look.
