Letter from the
CEO
Hi Lusties!
Welcome to our September
issue of Lustre!
After only just recovering from
all the excitement surrounding
our August Birthday, things
haven’t slowed down at Lustre
HQ. This month the office was
abuzz with a visit from Miss
Universe Australia, Monika
Radulovic, and White Glo’s
new ambassador, who came to
our studio to shoot this cover,
also bringing the diamond
studded crown with its security
entourage with her! Turn to page
14 to read all about her plans for
the upcoming pageant and how
fiancé Alesandro proposed.
As it’s the first month of Spring,
we’ve got lots of products for
you to help you embrace this
gorgeous weather. Check out
our Tips for Transitioning from
Winter to Spring on page 34 and
How to Style Yourself for Spring
Garden Parties page 12.
We’re also thrilled to bring on
board Shonagh Walker as our
Guest Beauty Editor this month!
Take a look at her Q&A with the
gorgeous Lara Worthington
on page 8, her tips for wearing
makeup at the gym on page 32
and how to allergy proof your
makeup page 26.
Finally, we have just launched
perhaps one of the most exciting
competitions in beauty history!
Do you have what it takes to
create Australia’s Best Beauty
Flat Lay?! With a beauty hamper
worth over $2000 to win, this
just might be the ultimate
beauty prize ever! See page 21
for more on how to enter.

That’s it from me for this month,
we hope you enjoy our latest
issue!
Love your CEO

Meet Shonagh Walker – Lustre Guest Beauty Editor
After 25 years of working in the
thick of Aussie media, Shonagh
Walker fled the Big Smoke of
Sydney and started life afresh
in the beautiful NSW Southern
Highlands.
Here she lives a blissful and
grateful existence with her
four dogs. Despite leaving the
whirlwind of THE MEDIA BIZ two
years ago, Shonagh remains
one of Australia’s busiest and
most prolific beauty and lifestyle
writers.
She continues to write regularly
and across many Australian and
International titles, including
Jetstar magazine, Mother and
Baby, Good Health, Woman’s
Day, now Lustre!, and many
more.
Shonagh has had considerable
TV and radio experience,
and has regularly written
inspirational blogs for both
Miranda and Therese Kerr.
In her spare time, Shonagh loves
nothing more than to run with
her huskies, imagining that they
are sledding across a snowy field
in Alaska.
