winter. Judging by what I saw, this was likely me and never
a 350 lb. now, a 250 lb. bear in the spring, a showed up at
good bear, good for television and would make the bait. I saw
a good show, but just not what I was looking for. three
smaller
It was a decent bear, but I knew the types of bear Bears by dark,
there are in New Jersey, so I decided to pass.
Within the next few hours, another bear came in
and this one was a borderline shooter. A little
bigger than the first bear. As I was trying to
decide whether or not I would shoot, you heard
that unmistakable sound, a branch breaking as
something else was coming in to the bait.
As I watched the reaction of the Bear that was
on the bait, he lifted his head in the direction of
the sound to smell, whirled and ran off. I couldn’t
believe this was happening, I was going to get
my chance at one of these New Jersey giants.
My anticipation grew as I heard him coming in.
