Jeremiah thought he put a good shot on
him and said “When I saw him running
away, I lost it - all the joy and the hard work
that went into this”. Even retelling the
story to me, I could feel the emotion from
that moment. After the shot, Jeremiah
waited for two hours, he wanted to give
him plenty of time to expire, he had put
in all that hard work, he didn’t want to
bump him.
Nine Lives
in the field
Getting down from his stand, he retrieved
his arrow. Five yards from the arrow,
he found blood. He went back to his
house and regrouped, came back with
more people and easily picked up the
blood trail and followed it to a CRP field
where he found his buck.
