As we moved forward in fiscal year 2013, we focused on diversifying our funding sources and fundraising ac vi es. To ease the
financial burden to women in the program and increase the poten al revenue to our permanent suppor ve housing program, we
restructured our program fees and engaged in ac vi es to increase referrals to maintain an occupancy rate of 75% or be er.
LTC worked with a consultant to develop an implementa on plan for the Training Resource Center business plan.
Through our partnership with Hopkins, a Service Scholar was assigned to work with us for one year. The Service Scholar is working to
implement and coordinate LTC’s workforce development program. She is responsible for recrui ng student volunteers who are skilled
in program implementa on, social media, web‐design, marke ng and developing community partnerships along with developing a
program evalua on report at the conclusion of the pilot.
An LTC alumna volunteered and chaired the implementa on of our annual Recovering Hearts Conference in June. She did an excellent
job! The event drew over 100 women who a ended workshops, had dinner and celebrated each other’s recovery milestones.
LTC was approved for the Board Development Program of Business Volunteers Unlimited. This partnership will be invaluable in helping
us to diversify our board and increase our spheres of influence.
LTC par cipated in the second annual Project Homeless Connect – Bal more, a na onal model for helping the homeless community by
bringing together services to meet every need into one place at one me. LTC was the only recovery agency invited to par cipate.
Two students from Bal more City Community College completed a 60 day internship with LTC.
LTC par cipated again this year in the Annual Women’s Expo at the Community College of Bal more County in Catonsville, Maryland.
In September 2013, LTC was name community‐based organiza on of the month by the Johns Hopkins University Student Outreach
Resource Center (SOURCE).
LTC has been approved to serve as a Na onal Work Readiness Creden al Assessment site.
