Roscoe Rautenbach and his
family recently met up with a
group of friends (three other
families) at Cape Vidal – to
spend a long weekend of fun
and fishing of course!
Having launched at first light and using his Hook 4 Chirp unit – he soon found
fish on the bite in shallow water, about 20m off the main point. His good catches
(using mackerel livebait) included a 7kg and 9kg Dorado which were filleted
and cooked on the braai. Whatever they didn’t need was vacuum-packed for
later use.

Roscoe commented on how thrilled he is with his 10-amp Nocqua battery.
“I didn’t need to charge it at all – even though I was out at sea for long periods
of time. I just love my Nocqua – it’s waterproof and holds charge so well – I
can just concentrate on my fishing, knowing that my fishfinder will also keep on
going!” he said.
