The next day we all relaxed, and
one or two meetings were held
later. Meanwhile, boats were
unpacked and sorted for the next
few days of fishing. And was the
fishing good!
Although we only finished in third
place many big bags were caught
during the tournament. The
biggest SA bag was caught by Craig
Fraser and Marcio Silva on Day 2,
totalling 15.43kg. The biggest fish
for SA was caught by Kevin Naidoo
and weighed 4.04kg (Duma fish)!
The tournament was very well
organised and run by
tournament director Carl Hack.
A huge shout out to Charl
Engelbrecht for assisting the
team with the Lowrance
fishfinders and updating the
charts every day. This formed a
crucial part of the strategy to get
to the big fish. “
Five of the seven boats
were kitted with
Lowrance units!
