He’s also excelled at
various competitions
recently – winning the
Border Open Spearfishing
Challenge in the Transkei
– for the third time in
a row. This is one of
South Africa’s “heritage”
competitions and is one
of the oldest events in

Guy also came second in
the recent SA Spearfishing
Championships (Jaco
Blignaut won this 10
species event) and he’s
taking part in the World
Championships in Denmark
early next month.
