P R O P D AY
Mercury SA recently held a “PROP DAY” from 6-7 June. Lowrance SA was invited to
join in.
It was held at Rynfield dam at the East Rand Ski Boat Club. The initiative was to bring
your boat down and have the Mercury guys assess it and see if they could possibly
better the performance. Customers launched their boats and would gauge what
speed they were getting and at what RPM. Then they would try out different props
and see if they could increase the performance. It was incredibly busy with a variety
of boats being tested- from bass boats, to skiboats, to ducks.
Lowrance had set up a stand with the latest units on display and various accessories
for sale. Many joined Keith Falconer at the Lowrance stand while waiting their turn
in the queue, and Keith assisted customers with their Lowrance set-up and updated
some software.
Keith had this to say: “It was a great success, with many familiar faces from the
fishing community who came to support the event. It was great to see the various
dealers and pro-staffers all at the same venue.”

Mercury was very happy with the outcome, and they are planning to plan
similar events throughout SA in the future. We will, of course, keep you posted!
