Specialising in the manufacture of deepsea catamarans (great for Tuna and
Marlin fishing), their flagship boat is the CarryCat 670, designed by fishermen
for fishermen, and being only 2.6m wide means it can be towed without any
special towing permits.
Their tailor-made models range from 6.7m to 10m in length and are powered
by twin outboard motors ranging from 70hp to 250hp.
Manufactured at their J-Bay factory, the vessels are rigged at approved dealers,
fitting motors of clients’ preference. Clients can either collect a complete rigged
vessel from the factory (themselves or via courier) or have it finished in Cape
Town, if that is where the client is based. Some new CarryCat owners prefer
to rig themselves, using their own engines. Each vessel is completely custom
built, according to client’s preference of deck lay-out, adding and omitting to
suit their need.
Dawie also added that Lowrance products are very popular with their clients,
