This month we focus on our new Lowrance SA dealer, CarryCat Marine – which
boasts two factories in South Africa, one in Jeffreys Bay (servicing Eastern Cape,
and all other provinces) and another in Strand just outside Cape Town (servicing
Western Cape mostly).
This successful boat manufacturing business was started eight years ago by
Dawie and Adri Scholtz, whose passion for building better boats is clearly
evident. Since the birth of the very first CarryCat in 2011, the brand has
constantly developed and improved, and their models have grown in popularity
and affordability.
Their very busy production and sales crew has the support of Lowrance SA as
well as other well-known brands – and the company is not only making its mark
locally, but they’ve even started exporting boats to Mozambique and Florida,
USA!
Dawie says, “We take the utmost care and precision to produce boats that are
light and durable in order to use smaller motors – which in turn converts to less
fuel consumption so anglers can spend more time out on the water fishing. Our
