He and Roy still fish team events together and they’re currently in 2nd place in the
FLW series. His PB is a 5.49kg Bass caught at Albert Falls Dam on a practise run
– using a ZMan Sawtail worm. His competition best is a 4.94kg fish also caught at
Albert Falls, in the Y-Bass series (2014), using a Strike King Red Eye Shad.
When he’s not fishing, Michael is busy with his own company business – Cannon
Kitchens custom-built kitchen and bedroom units. Or you’ll find him spending
time with his wife Melissa (who he says is “very patient” about all the hours he
spends on the water) and his one-year-old baby daughter, Catherine!
