After the three days, the daily points were totalled to determine the Championship
winners – individual and team.
South Africa excelled to take first place overall in Juniors, Ladies, Seniors and in
the SASSAC Masters team events. There was an excellent camaraderie and when
Australia (who were fishing in this event for the first time) and Namibia could not
send full teams,South African anglers stepped in to fill the gaps. South Africa also
helped the Zimbabwean team on the days they were short of anglers.
