DAY 3
It was totally open for any nation to take the Gold Medal with Australia
and Germany ready to move up the overall leader board, however, just to
prove a point, Justy caught another big fish of 3.20kg (Biggest Fish of the
Championships) on Day 3! Justy and Craig emerged Pairs Champions overall.
There was one distracting moment which caused some hilarity in all the
seriousness – when one of the Croatian anglers killed a bird while casting
and to top it all he didn’t catch a fish that day! (Apologies to animal lovers!).
Awaiting the overall final results after the last boat had weighed in, seemed
like an eternity for the top three nations. South Africa winning Gold by just
one point from Australia, with Germany in third position!
