There’ll be many Lowrance users among the competitors – all taking advantage of units
from across our ranges to maximise their chances of victory. And some Lowrance SA staff
will be present at the Bass Championships on the Vaal River and the DeepSea champs in
Sodwana - to support all anglers for the duration of the games!
On Saturday, February 9th, a great deal of Sandton will be closed off for a team street
parade (starting at 10.30am), followed by the official opening ceremony at the Sandton
Convention Centre at 11am. When this finishes at 2.30pm, competitors will leave for
venues around the country.
To follow the different events -
keep an eye on the official Facebook Page -
Fishing World Games 2019
Also look out for live feeds on Facebook and Instagram, covering the Opening Ceremony
and during the Tournament - from SABAA, SADSAA and other governing bodies (you’ll
need to check whether your particular discipline has anything available). Some of your
favourite online fishing magazines such as SA Bass and others will also be there to keep
you updated with the latest action and results.
TV’s SuperSport channel will be filming at different events during the course of the Games
where they will interview competitors, sponsors, organisers and the public – for a multi-
episode package, to be broadcast at a later stage.
