This was also her first ever Snoek caught from a Jetski. This fish landed her a Lowrance Hook² 4X unit and other prizes. On their way back to shore, the pair also decided to fish the backline for Couta, where Chez caught the biggest Yellow Fin Tuna of the competition (on a dead Mackeral) - weighing in at 15.4kg. On Day Two the wind died completely and the sea glassed off, leaving the water unbelievably clear! At 23m, the reef was visible to the naked eye from the jetski and the guys working drop shot etc watched the Couta and Kingfish species hitting their lures below - an amazing sight to witness! Terrence Agnew caught his PB Couta on Day Three - the biggest Couta of the competition, which weighed in at 15.04 kg. Fishing was good on the last day and Chez saw two Couta being caught on the same trace at the same time - not something you see every day! There were also a good few Snoek that had their tails bitten off by big Couta in the shallows but unfortunately “nobody managed to hook one of these crocs!” Chez says one of the main attractions of the location is the sheer beauty of this awesome spot. “Not only is there a host of pelagic species readily available, the Highlander Fishing Lodge and Nghungwa Lodges are both stunning and well worth the visit if you are ever in the area.” Chez says one of the main attractions of the location is the sheer beauty of this awesome spot. “Not only is there a host of pelagic species readily available, the Highlander Fishing Lodge and Nghungwa Lodges are both stunning and well worth the visit if you are ever in the area.” Maybe your next great fishing destination?
