YOUR UNIT
TO PROPERLY

All you do is you hit the power button once and

then a little menu comes up and you'll see it says
you could be damaging your Lowrance
unit and not even know it? Well you can.
"stand by" and then "power off."

emember back when we had the black
and white units, and the early colour-
screen models when they first came out?
It was really easy to shut them off:
you just hit the power bu on and held onto it
un l the unit turned off.
Or you could even shut the power off to the boat
and it was fine. But you can't do that with today's
models.
Reason being is that the current models are like
mini computers.
You wouldn't just unplug the power to your
computer at home, would you? No. Why?
Because that would cause problems.
Some of the more advanced units may have extra func on
op ons that pop up when you hit the power
bu on
Same thing applies to the new Lowrance models.
Lowrance units are mini computers now. If you
power them off the way you used to, over me,
you're going to start having issues.
So there's a proper way to turn
Lowrance units off, and it's really
quite easy.
But with both menus, you should just select "power off ”
It's that simple. It's really quick and easy.
