Edmund Roos caught the most species by one angler, a Spotted Grunter, a
Sand Shark and a Diamond Ray. He won a Hook 4 unit from Lowrance South
Africa.
Top boat angler (and top Senior) was Duane Botha with a 192cm Diamond
Ray, top bank angler was G. Maggies and top Kayak angler was Roy Nel.
Hundreds of anglers, family and friends gathered for the opening function
(in the big marquee) on Friday, February 1st – where they enjoyed live music,
food and refreshments. Saturday morning started off with skippers briefing
and the competition officially kicked off at 09.00.
Fishing continued all day and through the night until lines up at 06.00am
the next day! Congratulations to organiser Kenny Brown and his team – for
running this successful event so well.
