Ruffnek Boats SA, our dealer in Benoni, is growing from strength to strength.
Exciting new Bass boats have been pouring out of their busy factory, since they
opened 1.5 years ago, and this trend seems set to stay.
Leading the charge is Clayton Krause, whose many years of experience, having
grown up in in the boat building industry, is serving him well. Having been involved
in the design and build of The Hooker and Vortex models - he’s now focussing
his expertise into producing the 19’ Viper S, 17’ Maverick and the 21’ Renegade
boats - powered by Mercury motors (90hp – 400hp). C L I C K H E R E
Many seasoned Bass anglers are familiar with the much sought-after, top-quality
Ruffnek Boats which originated in Zimbabwe (1990) - under the capable hand of
manufacturer, Gerry Jooste.
In 2016 Ruffnek Boats was relocated to Namibia in 2016 due to the ongoing
economic and political turmoil in Zimbabwe. Clayton has now partnered with
Jurgen Geiger (who owns the moulds), to run and manage Ruffnek Boats SA,
and they offer some of the “most durable, most advanced and best designed
fishing boats in southern Africa.” Apart from their renowned bass boats, this also
includes the Tom Cat trimaran and the Ruzi (fish and ski version) designed for big
waters, among others.
