Send your beauty, fashion, makeup, and skin care questions to me at beautybeat@ loveumag.com to be featured in an upcoming issue of Love U Magazine or on our blog! Since this Beauty Beat is all about lips, I had to review my favorite lip plumper: Two Faced’s “Lip Injection Extreme” I’ve always wanted a fuller lip, and needles just don’t seem appealing to me. I have tried many lip plumpers and Two Faced’s “Lip Injection Extreme” seems to work the best for me. Within seconds, this product gives your lips a tingling sensation, and you will notice your lips looking fuller within minutes. Since this product is a serum, it can be reapplied as needed. I personally would rather apply a temporary serum than get any injections, and this is definitely more cost efficient! The tingling sensation can last for around five minutes. Also, it contains Vitamin E and avocado oil for added moisturizing benefits. This product is definitely worth a try! extra moisture, I’ll sometimes add a drop of olive oil to the mix and massage it onto my lips. I find that the longer you leave the scrub on your lips, the more beneficial it is. This simple scrub takes away some of that unwanted, dry skin on your lips, and it leaves them feeling smooth. My other tip is to apply some Vaseline or petroleum jelly to a toothbrush before I gently brush my lips with the toothbrush to take off some of the unwanted, dry skin. Then, I apply my favorite lip balm for a bit of moisture, and I’m ready for my matte lipstick! Your lips will look and feel moisturized if you scrub them often, with or without applying lipstick after. You can even apply a basic lip balm or Vaseline to your lips every night to keep those lips smooth and kissable! Regarding Lip Lining. I have both good and bad feelings about overlining lips. In my opinion, if you overline too much, your lips tend to look fake if not done correctly. My advice to you would be: Less is more! I would make sure you only draw your line a little outside of your natural line if you feel it's necessary. If you don’t want to overdraw your line, I have some tricks that give the illusion of fuller lips. First, for more intensity, you can get a lip liner that's darker than your desired shade of lipstick. Apply the darker shade to the cupid’s bow of your lips, and then blend it to a lipliner that's the same shade as your lipstick. Second, I would absolutely make sure to apply foundation onto your lips before you apply your lipstick. By applying the foundation before hand, your lips will automatically stand out more, therefore, giving the illusion of a bigger lip. Applying a foundation before any lipstick will always make it stay longer as well, and will make the color pop! Another trick would be to find a lipgloss that is a shade lighter than your desired color and apply the gloss to the middle of both your lips. This is considered “lip contouring,” which will also give your lips a fuller effect. Not only that, but the gloss picks up light, which can make your lips a focal point. Lip Injection Extreme
