T
he Alliance finished up our 2014 year
by holding a luncheon/board meeting at The Louisville Boat Club on
November 18th. Our December event was a
holiday cocktail party held at the lovely home
of Dr. and Mrs. Keith Carter. We invited Alliance members and spouses. A wonderful evening was had by all. We encouraged members
to participate in three service opportunities
during the holidays. Adele Murphy coordinated this project informing members of The Center for Women and Families gift card
drive, the Build a Bear to support Toys for Tots Drive, and a coat
drive at The Healing Place. Adele collected the above donations and
delivered them to the appropriate venues.
Barrel Foods with a Mixology Class, to include spouses, on January
13. Then on February 16th, we are holding a blood drive with Extell.
We also plan to begin helping Dr. Bill Dillon with the Start the Heart
Foundation by being involved in teaching 9th graders hands-only
CPR. And lastly, our monthly Book Club is still going strong, led
by Carol Lambert.
Please join us if any of the upcoming activities look appealing to
you. We have a lot of fun and interesting events happening.
