Andy Silvers LOS ANGELES FIRM INC MAGAZINE SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2015 Where can our readers stay updated on Andy Silvers and all of his future plans? There’s never much said about my future plans. I never look too far down the road. I use a Facebook page for my photography to post work, current, older and revisited works. Then I have my website that is due for some updating. www.andysilversphotography.com https://www.facebook.com/pages/Andy-Silvers-Photography/146283995433643?ref=hl Who is you favorite model? My personal favorite of models I worked with was when I lived in NC. I shot with a model by the name of Kari Gridley. She was great and many of my personal favorite shoots were with her. She had a great classic old Hollywood face and was very photogenic. She was also very adept to getting into the charter style shoots. Her ability to emote and express through her facial expressions and slight body gestures was always on the mark. Unfortunately she moved to California, pretty much ending our collaborations. How does it feel to be such of a recognized photographer? It’s a bit of a mixed bag. I’m aware to some extent there is positive recognition of my work and some “fandom” indicated by emails I receive. However, the recognition hasn’t translated into more publishing opportunities, or paid work. Heck, even with my personal work, can’t even give away a free trade shoot to a model. This may have a lot to do with location. There does seem to be a frequent misconception that I am based in L.A.. I do receive far more correspondence from L.A. and SoCal based models and designers. Perhaps if I relocate to L.A. my feelings would be different. Model Justin Barringer Makeup artist Katy Albright Hair stylist Sean Foley ANDYSILVERSPHOTOGRAPHY.COM
