LOS ANGELES FIRM INC MAGAZINE MAY / JUNE 2015 TOMMY I’m sure it feels like yesterday to one incredibly motivated artist who broke his neck mountain biking thirty years ago. I’m speaking of someone that should motivate each and every artist out there. This is the long anticipated interview you’ve all been waiting for. This is the story of Tommy Hollenstein. Tommy is one of the most unique painters out here. While he is quadriplegic that doesn’t stop him, he paints with the wheels of his wheelchair. The style expresses a Jackson Pollock type aura, yet all his own. Though it is slightly reminiscent of Pollock, I only mention it because of its abstract and genius nature. However, Hollenstein is creating a new door to be opened for many to come. Tommy has had countless amounts of shows from the Rose Bowl to Monaco. His work is original, brilliant, breathtaking. Yes, that’s exactly it. Breath taking! You want great art, something special, something different? Then, you want Tommy Hollenstein. I had a chance to catch up with Tommy and here’s what he had to say!
