My name is Mykie and I’m a selftaught beauty and special effects
makeup artist from Philadelphia. Although I’m self-taught, my education
at Temple University’s film school
and my employment at MAC Cosmetics and Terror Behind the Walls have
really shaped me as an artist. After
surrounding myself with film, beauty,
and special effects in my college
years, I decided it was time to move to
Los Angeles and pursue a career in all
three areas.

QUALITY AWARDS

Many believe intention is more important than action. I
believe that the action is the power punch of intention.
My heartfelt intention will become action as I explain
and show the best examples of quality images from makeup
to wardrobe styling down to the post production. The
exemplary quality of these images is on a much higher
level than the average point and shoot, no style, no
hair stylist lol, never will we settle. These are our
best attempts in no particular order. We believe these
are some of the best images you’ll ever see.

Since moving to LA, I have worked
on several feature films, short films,
music videos and other events- but
the real game changer came when I
started posting my makeup work to
social media platforms. What started
as a challenge to myself, to post a different makeup look for 100 consecutive days, turned into a whole other
career opportunity that I hardly knew

but one that is extremely rewarding.
Since beginning this seven months
ago, I have gained almost forty thousand followers, been featured on
Illamasqua.com, SoHairObsessed.
com, and Anastasia Beverly Hill’s
instagram. I’ve branded my work
as “Glam&Gore” and have plans to
turn this into my own business in the
future. Having once thought I’d be at
the mercy of freelance work forever,
it’s an exciting future to think that I
may instead be the boss of my own
business.
I want to bring a face to social media,
especially Youtube, that does every
kind of makeup- beauty, face-paint/
fantasy, avant-garde/high fashion and
special effects. I hope to inspire every
kind of makeup enthusiast out there
by doing what I love most.
