How does it feel to be honored as a Makeup Artist ?

I’m so honored to be asked to be a part of this
issue. In a society where the general public is
used to seeing heavy Instagram and YouTube
makeup, I’m thrilled to have this platform to
show everyone that soft beauty is what takes
real skill. This heavy contouring craze sends
the message that people aren’t beautiful the
way they are. I want to change that! I’m not
anti-contouring, but makeup should be about
highlighting the features that make you uniquely beautiful. People should always notice your
beauty before they notice your makeup!

What is your favorite Fashion week worldwide?

Paris, for sure! I’ve always looked to the
french fashion houses for inspiration.
Especially, Dior.
What inspires you to carry on as an artist?

My goals keep me going. I have so many, and I
know that I can accomplish them all with hard
work and persistence. I think there is beauty
in everything, and everyone. So long as there
is beauty out there, I will never grow tired of
seeking it.

What would you say is the highlight of your career?

Assisting Gregory Arlt has been my favorite
experience so far. I’ve had the honor of assisting him on some very cool projects. Working
with him has truly changed my career! I value
his friendship, and all that he has taught me.
