“My love for the art that I do. I want to create an empire.”
-JULIA TAYLOR
T
his feature,
we take you
beyond
the
products
used;
far
past the skill
of the brush.
We’ve unveiled hundreds
of talented makeup artists
from everywhere. I mean,
you could only imagine this
being Makeup Extravaganza part 4 as we’ve brought
makeup artist after makeup artist with their A game
since our very first extravaganza. Bringing versatility
in just makeup artist, tips
and products alone you’d
have to be a fool to not
recognize and respect the
art. I have much respect

for the artist Julia. She is
definitely someone of interest within the makeup communities around the world.
Her imagination is what has
drawn me to this feature as
she really has something
truly special that cannot be
taught in school or otherwise. She sparkles. It sort
of reminds me of a child’s
imagination. Because, children can simply take a tree
branch and rock to play
with, and within their mind
it becomes a bat and ball. I
rarely find talents such as
Julia who can implant a vision in my head so real I feel
present. I greatly appreciate the quality in her work,
the time taken to apply it,
BRUSH GAMES
and the attention to details
upon each model that sits in
her chair. If I could ever describe perfection this would
be it. I am often intrigued by
the touch of tons of artists.
A soft hand with just enough
applied can simply be breathtaking. I took time with Julia
to share some of her art and I
must warn you. It doesn’t get
much better than this.
What inspires you to
carry on as an artist?
My love for the art that
I do. I want to create an
empire.
Where are you from? I
was born and raised in
Stockholm, Sweden.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself working on
advertising campaigns
for luxe brands such as
Dior,
Armani, YSL and Lancome. As well as working on magazine covers
for Vogue,
Allure, Glamour, Cosmo, W magazine e.t.c.
How many times have
you been published?
Quite a lot. I lost count
a long time ago, it’s
hard to keep track
What is you best experience as a professional makeup artist?
What I find most rewarding
is
helping
women to change the
way that they
look at themselves.
Like today for example
I had a client in my chair
that
started tearing up and
told me that she was
crying because she was
happy
and she had never felt
so beautiful, plus it was
her birthday so she felt
extra
special.
That’s
what I do this for, things
like that just really make
my day
