Hannah to The Maze Runner: The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials have both been made into movies, and 20th Century Fox is currently working on their third film adaptation in the series, The Death Cure. Though many fans are satisfied with the movies, others dislike them and think that they wrongly portray the books. How do you think the movies affects the books?

Answer: The Maze Runner and Scorch Trial movies, like all movies based on books, should not affect the pages strongly. All readers should know that they can’t always rely on Hollywood to portray their favorite books and book series correctly. If the movies wrongly portray the books, then they don’t have to be associated strongly with the books. If the movie was good, then go ahead and associate it. However, all of this depends on one’s personal opinion, not the fanbase’s as a whole. Chances are there will be a remake, or even a television series based on the books in a few years. You can even make your own fanmade movies to make it the way you want it.
