Hannah to the Phandom: There are a few YouTubers have been uploading videos for about as long, or even longer, as Dan and Phil. What makes them different than the other YouTubers?
Answer: For one thing, AmazingPhil was one of the first people on Youtube-he started in 2006, only a year after Youtube was created. Anyways, their content is supremely unique. Most people do daily vlogs, beauty videos, skits, or top ten videos, whereas Dan and Phil’s videos are different. As Dan says, “come for the accent, stay for the existential crisis”. I think that the fact that both of them are highly relatable makes them both so lovable. They have both stated that they are both awkward and nerds. The internet is a place for people who might be antisocial(but these days that is fine-cause life is so much better when you spend it all online!) and awkward, like them! Both of their content basically focuses on awkward things they do or say, or jokes about what failures they are(although they clearly aren’t failures). What they do in real life is also amazing-both men have been known to tell people to never forget that they love them, or tell fans that self-harm that if they cut themselves, they might as well cut them(Dan and Phil) too. Their kindness is also something that has people interested in them.
