TWILIGHT

Hi, my name is Lea and I’m a new writer for Loquaciousness. I am going to be writing an article on Twilight and I hope to continue writing more articles for the fandom magazine in the future.

Ahh, Twilight. The book everyone, for some reason, hates. I, myself, only believe Twilight is a decent book because of the romance and some other moral parts. The romance is heavy and I understand there are those who do not like heavy romance books. It’s also completely cliche and to add on Bella is a perfect character.

Let me explain. Books need to have balanced characters. Every character needs to have some sins, and some perfections. If they are all sinful, then the reader will not like the character. If they are a completely perfect character, the reader will go the same way and not like the character as well. This balance causes the reader to not only like the book, but become closer with the character, as we all have good and bad in our life.

Bella is an example of a perfect character. This is because she has no sins. She is not greedy, lazy, wrathful, lustful(well, maybe a bit here). She does not excessively eat(gluttony), and isn’t too nice for her own good. She is not prideful and does not show signs of envy throughout the books.

On the other hand, Bella was willing to sacrifice anything to save her loved ones. She had many other powerful characteristics that drew me to her without me wanting her to.

The fact that the books are completely cliche is totally true, what with vampires and werewolves in high school. Well, it did come from a dream. Everyone discourages Stephanie, the author of the books, because the idea came from a dream, saying she's psychotic. But Stephanie Meyer did something a brave author would do; she brought her dream to life. Even if it was just for her, it turned out great. Her dream became a Saga.

An unforgettable love story.

And though Twilight has had its ups and downs, it is still an amazing series. To me and the Twilight Fandom.

Overall the Twilight Saga has many moral lessons. One being that love is the strongest power, a moral also shown throughout Harry Potter. Even though Twilight can never be compared with Harry Potter, Twilight has some decency, if you know where to look.

Some people look beyond. And those people are the Twilight Fandom. Another moral lesson is that it teaches people that you don’t choose who you fall in love with. Just like how you don’t choose what book you fall in love with. It just happens, slowly then all at once.

I think the fandom can agree with me when I say that people should really stop hating, not only on Twilight, but on everyone and everything. Hate hurts, even the little comments.
