fight Kronos, even though they knew that they had very little chance of actually winning the war against him. The Titan’s power grows with every god or demigod that joins his army. Kronos send Typhon, the father of all monsters, to distract the Olympians, in order for him to attack Mount Olympus, which is in New York City. Percy leads a small army of demigods into battle, to defend Mount Olympus. Percy had to bathe in the Styx River in order to become invincible, just like Achilles. He had to gain allies, to strengthen his army.

This book is very interesting because it basically says that anybody can be a hero. Percy has ADHD and dyslexia. These diseases make it near impossible for someone to accomplish something, yet Percy manages to save Olympus and the whole Western Civilization from destruction. Throughout the whole series and the book, it is constantly reminded that every myth is real, meaning that anything is possible.

This book made me realize that I can do anything I want to when I set my mind to it. It also taught me that nobody is perfect. Every single person has a fatal flaw. It is a wonderful book that could be read again and again, and each time there would be different lesson that could be learned from it.
