The Hunger games

Hi, everyone! Once again, Quilava the Flamethrower here! Today I'm discussing the top ten saddest or worst deaths in the series! THESE ARE MY PERSONAL OPINIONS. I'M SORRY IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH THIS LIST. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT!! INCLUDING CHARACTERS FROM ALL THREE BOOKS!

Let's start off at number ten.

10. Wiress

Personally, Wiress was one of my favorite characters. She's incredibly intelligent, and her whims were interesting, such as the way she always dropped off in the middle of a sentence, and Beetee finished them for her. And she was pretty much harmless from the start of the book, especially after she fell into shock after the blood rain in the arena.

9. Castor

Ah, yes. Do you remember Castor, the brother of Pollux the Avox? His gruesome death by mutts was bad enough, but the fact that he left his brother behind was tear-jerking.

8. Cato

Cato was a notorious villain in Katniss's very first Hunger Games experience. What makes his death so upsetting was the fact that he was a bloodthirsty, merciless killing machine, But at his end he was pleading Katniss for the merciful death he never gave to his opponents.

7. Glimmer

Glimmer's death was being stung by hundreds of tracker-jackers. Honestly there can't be anything worse than that, except maybe spontaneous combustion. Or maybe the next one.

6. Messalla

Faithful worker to Cressida. Or, not anymore. His flesh was literally melted off of his body "like candle wax". Ouch.

5. Foxface

Oh, Foxface. If only Peeta hadn't thought that nightlock was good to eat. Your own foxiness brought you to a thankfully painless death, but we salute you for not even trying to kill anyone.

4. Boggs

Boggs was only trying to protect Katniss and bring her home. He truly believed that after all he had been through at a young age, she deserved to live a long and healthy life. Sadly, he bled out when his legs were blown off.

3. Rue

I couldn't make a top ten saddest deaths list without including Rue, obviously. Rue reminded Katniss of her little sister, whom she loved most in the world. When she died because Katniss failed to get there in time, Katniss felt as if she'd lost a sister, and felt guilty. On top of that, she had siblings and parents waiting at home. Maybe she could have even made it, because of her cleverness and survival skills. Oh, and she was only twelve years old.

2. Prim

Obviously if Rue is here, Prim has to be too. Prim grew up too fast. In book one, she was the little duck who forgot to tuck in her shirt tail and ran to the bakery to look at the cakes. Then she was helping her mother heal whipping victims, victims of poverty, and protecting people in the front lines. And her death definitely wasn't the painless one she deserved either-no, she was lit on fire, burning alive.

1. Finnick

Finnick, why did you have to die?! You had so much going on for you. You just got married, you and Annie were expecting your first child. You were only twenty-four years old, and Katniss loved you(as a friend). At first we all thought that you were a narcissistic pretty-boy, but you're so much more than that. You're keeping the people you love alive, you care so much about people you care about. Your death was so unfair, and we hope you rest in peace.

So, did that make you cry? I didn't, because I'm already dead inside. Ta-ta for now. Stay alive, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
