Owari no seraph

I really really love the MikaYuu ship. Now before I start, I should say that this contains spoilers from both the manga and anime and that I have no problems with people shipping other things, like Shinoa x Yuu or Shiho x Yuu or any other ships. MikaYuu just makes the most sense to me, but again, I’m not saying that it’s wrong to ship them with anyone else.

One of the reasons I ship MikaYuu is because of their strong, enduring bond. I mean, Mika’s been hanging on, refusing to become “a monster,” as he puts it, for Yuu’s sake. Mika doesn’t want Yuu to be repulsed by him, and Mika certainly wants to protect Yuu from anyone that would hurt him.

The manga literally states that Yuu is “the only man [he’s] living for.”

On the other side, Yuu has been killing vampires and trying to get his revenge for Mika and all the other orphans. I know he valued the other orphans, like Akane, but Mika is the one who is usually mentioned. Also, Yuu absolutely hates vampires, but he is willing to ignore this because his most precious person is a vampire. Yuu cares about Mika and is willing to look past his faults.

To add onto this, when Mika and Yuu were reunited, Yuu was literally crying tears. He was so happy and relieved to see Mika that he started crying in the middle of the battlefield. If that isn’t love, then I don’t know what is. (Adding to the fact that Mika was blushing after he was stabbed through the chest, I think that means that at least one of them is in love).

It also speaks volumes that Yuu was willing to give up his blood to save Mika. That’s a big change from the beginning of the story. Yuu used to hate every single vampire, and he absolutely hated it when they took blood from him. However, Yuu was willing to look past that to save the person he loves the most. In addition, Mika decided to drink from Yuu’s neck even after Yuu had made a cut on his wrist. That has some serious romantic implications.

There are a lot of other romantic implications in the series, such as when Mika was literally going to carry Yuu out of the battlefield to safety (three times!), their interactions in the car, all the blushing, Mika ignoring his own safety to help Yuu. The list could go on and on.

Of course, many could also say that these are platonic interactions. Honestly, think what you want to think. I think that all of these interactions are romantic. However, you absolutely cannot deny that Mika and Yuu love each other immensely.
