Three Haiku by Imogen Forster

In my neighbour's window,

a hammock, or angel's wings,

it's hard to be sure.

*

The sky all inflamed,

dark masses moving westward,

cloud haematomas.

*

Cloud beasts: a griffon,

a wyvern, a basilisk,

dissolving to nothing.

Imogen Forster is a translator, and has published poetry in Lighthouse, HARK, Lunar Poetry and Southlight, and online in Ink, Sweat and Tears, And Other Poems and Kumquat Poetry, among others.
